Our faculty work with parents and children to ensure that our children make the most of their time in the classroom.
Leonor teaches the school’s “grandes” and "pre-k" class for children ages 3 to 5.
Leonor is a licensed teacher from Antioquia, Colombia. She earned her degree in pedagogy from the Institución Educativa Turbo, her license in basic education with an emphasis in social sciences from the Universidad de Pamplona, and her specialty in management in educational institutes from the Universidad del Tolima.
Leonor brings to PCPE 18 years of teaching children, adolescents, and young adults in educational settings in Colombia. She completed child basics STARS training of Washington State, which provides strategies and basic knowledge to support and stimulate early childhood development. She is excited to share her culture with the PCPE community and advance the school’s goal to promote Spanish speaking among our children.
Ruth teaches the school's "chicos" and "medianos" class for 2-3 year olds.
Ruth hails from Oviedo, Spain, and moved to Seattle in 2007.
She earned her degree in education from the Universidad de Oviedo and has more than 6 years’ experience teaching kids from preschool through high school. Ruth is the mother of a playful 2-year-old daughter.
Tania is PCPE's parent educator.
Tania is a bilingual social worker, parenting educator, a wife, and a mother of three vibrant multicultural children.
She received her masters in social work from the University of Washington in 2002 and is a licensed social worked and a certified positive discipline trainer/facilitator. Tania has provided parent evaluations and parenting coaching/education for over 15 years.
When she's not teaching parents, you might find her hosting Spanish language story times at various Seattle Public Library branches.
